In the last post I took you through the steps of setting up a Clickbank affiliate account and how to get your hoplink. Today I would like to outline a couple of the marketing tools available to now advertise that link. I’m going to focus on four ways to advertise on the net.
- Pay Per Click
- SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
- Blog
- Web 2.0
For the next couple of posts I’m only going to nick the surface because each one of these could easily be discussed endlessly.

- Pay Per Click advertising is a search engine/blog/advertising network/website model where a small ad is created and placed by the administrator on other peoples websites/blogs. When someone sees an ad and is interested they click the ad. This will then take the clicker to the advertiser’s website with their product. Usually the advertiser is only charged when someone clicks on the ad.
- Pros: Highly effective when tested. There are analytics available to monitor and manage every aspect of a campaign. Its also relatively easy to implement.
- Cons: Depending on how competitive a market you are advertising for, it could be potentially expensive.
Done Correctly PPC can be a highly effective method for advertising your affiliate campaigns. In the next post I’ll cover the other three methods for advertising. Later.
