I’ve spent the last couple of months on the search for useful ways of lowering my cars fuel cost. As all of you know, gas prices are ridiculous and they are only going to get worse. Bush wants to increase drilling for the crude oil and build more refineries. Is this guy nuts? Build more refineries? All thats going to do is raise the gas price even higher. Besides, that only postpones the inevitable.

We need to take steps to get away from using fossil fuels altogether. However, gas companies and the car companies are dragging their feet and even preventing progress. Some citizens in this country have taken it upon themselves to come to a solution.

I have found a couple of people that are currently exploring the possibilities of hydrogen fuel. A couple of these sites offer plans on the construction and materials needed to make them. Water 4 Gas: This is the best one I’ve found so far. It offers a comprehensive step by step guide on the construction of the HHO unit. It can be adapted to a car or truck/diesel.

Fuel Trips: A program that offers many of the features as the water 4 gas model but is slightly cheaper.

Get Half Price Gas: This is a website that offers proven methods for reducing the cost of gas each time you fill up. It doesn’t offer alternatives to fossil fuel, but I found that it saved me about $10 each time I need to fill up. Which is more than the info costs you. Definitely worth the price.
