Today I just wanted to talk about two keyword research sites that I think are totally awesome.

• Overture
• Wordtracker

Overture is a part of Yahoo and has been around for a long time. To use, you simply enter in the keyword that you would like to research. Overture will then give you a list back of the most searched keywords related to your entry and how many times that it was searched. I have heard a lot of talk about Yahoo not using Overture anymore. Hopefully they don’t give it the axe.

The other tool that I also recommend is the free Wordtracker keyword search tool. This tool is similar to Overtures. Just enter your search term and Wordtracker will return with related keywords and the number of times that keyword is searched during the day.

Wordtracker also offers advanced features for those that pay for their subscription. Some of the features include keyword ranking, analytics and the ability to check for competing keywords across multiple search engines. Its also cool that they give you a 7 day free trial to test them out.
